Mars Malt Le Papillon is a series that expresses the splendour of Japan’s natural environment – the climate and terroir of its four distinct seasons that shape whisky maturation – using butterflies native to Japan as its motif.
The motif is the Red-veined Brown butterfly, primarily inhabiting grasslands above 1,500 metres on Honshu and designated a Natural Monument in Nagano Prefecture. This exceptional triple cask single malt whisky is vatted from malt spirits distilled at Mars Komagatake Distillery and matured in wine casks.
Limited bottling: 717 bottles
Source: Hombo Shuzo Co., Ltd. website
At BAR Shinai, we also offer smaller pours: 45ml: ¥4,620, 30ml: ¥3,080, 15ml: ¥1,540.
