Today, we are pleased to announce the arrival of “Taketsuru Pure Malt New Label,” a new limited release from Nikka Whisky. Annual sales of 22,000 cases.

New Taketsuru Pure Malt with a higher percentage of Yoichi malt whisky

The percentage of Yoichi malt used has been increased from the former Taketsuru Pure Malt, and a lingering aroma and richness have been added to the renewed product. The label has been changed from black to beige.
The key malts are Yoichi malt aged in sherry casks, Miyagikyo malt, and Miyagikyo malt aged in remade casks.

Tasting Notes

Flavor	Fresh, sweet and sour fruit aroma like apple and apricot, sweet and soft oaky aroma reminiscent of toast and vanilla.
Taste	Fruity taste like banana and navel orange, light but with a solid malt thickness and peat richness.
Aftertaste	A sweet, bittersweet, bitter chocolate finish lingers pleasantly with mild oak and peat aromas.
