Today we are pleased to announce the arrival of “Single Malt Saburomaru first The Magician”, a new limited release from Wakatsuru Shuzo and Saburomaru Distillery.
From 0 to 1. One change and a new step, transformation, skill, and a new stage” are the key words of Saburo Maru 1.
In 2018, Saburomaru Distillery took a new step forward by replacing its half-century-old self-made mash tun with a state-of-the-art mash tun from Miyake Manufacturing.
The label design is based on tarot cards (consisting of 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana), and “The Magician,” the first of the 22 Major Arcana, is used on this label to signify “taking a new step forward.
53 PPM, heavy peated
Hollow fermentation for 3 days using two yeasts: ale yeast and whiskey yeast.The malt used is hefty peated malt (53ppm).
The strong peat and malt aroma of this smoky beer is retained, while the acidity of the fruit is expressed. The taste has a strong profile.
Limited to 3,000 bottles.
