Today we are pleased to announce that Nikka Tsuru, a limited edition from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, has arrived from Nikka Whisky.
Nikka founder Masataka Taketsuru, known as the “father of Japanese whiskey,” put all his skill and pride into the creation of “Tsuru,” a blended whiskey that he named after himself as the culmination of his passion for whiskey.A crane stands on the northern land. The graceful, soft, yet interesting and noble figure of the crane is represented in the supple shape of the bottle. This is truly the pinnacle of Nikka’s blended products. Limited sale only at Yoichi distillery and Miyagikyo distillery.
Combines soft peat and grain sweetness
It is clear that the blend is different from the “Tsuru 17year old” which has been sold out. It has a younger impression of the original sake, with less matured and smoky flavors. It features a small amount of young Yoichi sake, aged Miyagikyo sake and perhaps some sweetness from the cafe grain.
It tastes different from Tsuru 17year, which is considered the best Nikka blended, but there is no doubt that Tsuru Non-Age is also a very well balanced bottle.
