①Cashless Consumer Redemption Program for the Consumption Tax Increase Starting in October
The Consumption Tax Law has been revised and the consumption tax will be raised from 8% to 10% effective October 1, 2019.
As part of the economic stimulus measures to accompany the consumption tax hike, the government will launch the “Cashless Consumer Redemption Project” to provide point rewards for the use of cashless payments at small and medium-sized stores until the end of June 2020.You can also search for registered stores by downloading the official Point Redemption app. Click here for more information.
The main cashless services to be covered are “credit cards” and “electronic money (IC cards and smartphones)”.Please check the official information of your card for the exact information regarding the method, timing, and limit of redemption, as each card brand has a different response.
Although the consumption tax has been raised to 10%, the cashless 5% will be returned, so the real consumption tax burden will be 5%.

The price will remain unchanged with tax included and a cashless 5% discount will be offered!
