For the first time as T&T TOYAMA, we are pleased to release whisky purchased as new make spirit and matured for over three years in our own cask storehouse.
This release, ‘EPISODE 0’, signifies T&T TOYAMA’s departure from ‘zero’ and embodies the “O” of ‘ORIGIN’, marking a fitting first step in sharing Japanese whisky culture with the world.
【Tasting Notes】
Nose: White chocolate with a hint of honey, vanilla accompanied by a touch of aged oak cask character, apple, subtle dried shiitake mushroom and menthol, chocolate cereal.
Palate: Softer on the palate than the alcohol strength suggests, but a bitter, robust woodiness surges through afterwards. Gentle honey, kombu seaweed. The finish is woody and slightly spicy. A faint powdery sensation lingers on the tongue.
Overall: A bottle showcasing Eigashima’s characteristic balance, with its woody character firmly expressed.
